Contemplative Leadership Development offers group & individual retreats at our facility in Taos, New Mexico.
It is not possible to gain a broader perspective of your organization or your leadership when your nose is constantly pressed to the grindstone. As the demands of leadership in a global economy increase, it is imperative that senior leaders have an opportunity to step away from their work and reflect. Contact us for more information.
The Retreat Center
Our retreat center sits on five acres of land within half a mile of downtown Taos.
We meet in a spacious, sunny room on the top floor of the facility, overlooking Taos mountain.
Our dining area is on the ground floor of the retreat center and offers a teaching kitchen.
All meals are provided by Dillon Tisdel, a private chef trained at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City and a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Food and Accommodations
We serve delicious, organic and, whenever possible, locally grown produce. Accommodations vary depending on whether you are participating in a group or individual retreat. A guesthouse is available on-site, overlooking a lovely courtyard and just a few steps away from the retreat center. For group retreats, there are a number of options for places to stay within a short walk of the retreat center.
For individual retreats,
Dillon will contact you to create a menu that fits your personal preferences and needs.
For those who would like to explore eating in a way that supports clarity of mind, Dillon is available for nutritional consultation.
Her excellence lies, in part, in recognizing the difficulty of dietary change and making recommendations that are accessible.
Retreats allow the work of inner development to maturate in a way that is not possible in shorter coaching sessions. Because we will have time together that is extended and unhurried, there is an opportunity to explore contemplative practices, such as meditation – practices that will help you develop greater equanimity and inner calm, and deepen your access to inner guidance.
Individual retreats are geared towards people that are already working with me and wish to deepen their work.
They are also available to leaders who wish to either begin or deepen a contemplative practice, leaders who are interested in having greater access to creativity and intuition, and those who wish to find ways to better manage stress.
The retreats are custom designed in conjunction with me to meet your specific interests and needs. Although you will have access to me throughout the retreat, we will meet twice a day.
There will be opportunities to spend time in nature, receive massage, read, write in a journal, and rest.
Accommodations are provided in a lovely guesthouse on our property,
a short walk from the facility where we will meet for sessions.
Group retreats provide a unique forum to explore the relationship between who you are and how you lead - away from the pressures of your office. The pace of a retreat is different than that of a meeting. As opposed to attempting to cover as much content as possible in our time together, you will be given the opportunity to take a step back and reflect in a different way.
Group retreats can be arranged for your organization at your convenience. Retreat offerings can be custom designed to fit your specific needs.
